COMACOE begins the new year with a Jetty project award from Adani

COMACOE began the new year with a project award of a stand-alone Jetty Project on October 25th, 2019.

 

The project is at Hazira for Adani Hazira Port Pvt. Ltd. (Owners) and COMACOE’s  client (Employer) is Howe Engineering Projects (India) Pvt. Ltd. The project involves about 87 numbers piles of 1100mm & 1400mm dia. The project consists mainly of a Berth of approx. 120m length and 34m width with two Approach Jetties of approx. 58m length each as well as construction of a Mooring Dolphin. The work has to be completed in a very short timeframe, making it an extremely challenging project.

 

COMACOE laboratories are now NABL certified!

COMACOE is proud to announce that as a further demonstration of it’s continuous improvement drive and commitment to its customers, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has conferred the coveted Accreditation to COMACOE laboratories, vide Certificate No. TC-8445.

This provides the reassurance to COMACOE customers that its laboratories are operating at an internationally acceptable level of competence.

 

COMACOE wins SWIO for TANGEDCO’s Udangudi 2 x 660 MW project

COMACOE is very proud to announce the receipt of award of Sea Water Intake & Outfall system for TANGEDCO’s 2 x 660 MW plant at Udangudi, Dist. Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu from BHEL, Chennai.

TANGEDCO (Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited) is establishing 2 x 660 MW coal based super critical thermal power plant at Udangudi, Tamil Nadu, India. BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.), a Government of India Undertaking, is main EPC contractor for BTG and BOP works of the power plant, which includes the package for the Sea Water Intake & Outfall (SWIO) system. After a competitive open bidding process lasting for over a year, BHEL has awarded the SWIO system package on EPC basis to COMACOE. Including COMACOE, total 8 bids were received  including Larsen & Toubro, ITD Cementation, Meka Infra, Techton Engineering, EDAC, Gayatri Projects Limited, and Ramky Infra. After an elaborate technical evaluation, only 3 bids were qualified technically and their prices were opened, namely, COMACOE, L&T and ITD Cementation and COMACOE was declared L1 and successful bidder eventually,

Scope of work includes:

  • Intake capacity of 30,000 m3/hr capacity consisting of 2 x HDPE Æ2000mm, approx. length of 6500 meters
  • Outfall capacity of 22,50 m3/hr consisting of 1 x GRP Æ2000mm, approx length 2500 meters
  • Desilting basin of 30,000 m3/hr capacity
  • Stop log gates, Sluice gates & Trash Racks
  • Slurry cum dewatering pumps
  • Concrete encasement of 250mm on GRP pipeline
  • Dredging, Excavation & Backfilling
  • Laying of pipelines on offshore coal cum pipeline captive jetty
  • Duplex Intake Structure/Velocity cap
  • Multiport Diffuser
  • Chlorination and Air blasting piping
  • HDPE Slurry pipeline
  • Electrical and C&I
  • Marker Buoy and floating fence
