We are looking for a skilled and dedicated CPT Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various drilling machines and equipment to conduct Cone Penetration Tests. You will ensure that all operations meet quality standards, comply with safety protocols, Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Motors and winches with VFD motors is essential.

• Operate and position drilling machines and equipment for Cone Penetration Testing.
• Assemble and position drilling machines accurately to ensure correct boring operations.
• Verify the depth and level of the boring position according to specifications.
• Ensure that all testing and drilling operations meet quality standards.
• Operate and service heavy electrical equipment, including VFD motors and panels.
• Maintain and service winches equipped with VFD motors.
• Previous experience in operating drilling machines and conducting Cone Penetration Tests.
• Relevant experience in heavy electrical and drilling operations is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in operating and servicing VFD motors and panels.
• Familiarity with winches equipped with VFD motors.

• To review the tender document to understand the project requirement
• To collect geology of the proposed project area and to understand the difficulties at project site.
• To assess the availability of field & lab equipment against the client’s requirement
• To assess the type of marine spread with assisting crafts required based on the assessment and those availability
• To propose the purchase/hire/consultancy services and manpower requirement to the Project Manager
• To muster and mobilise the equipment and manpower at site
• To liaise with client under Project Manager’s guidance
• To manage the logistic arrangements
• To collect the field data from the site
• To prepare field and final reports for submission to the client

• To position the vessel/jack-up at the proposed investigation location
• To participate in the sample collection, onboard lab testing, sample packing and inventory preparation
• To coordinate with Driller, Geo-Tool Operator / CPT Operator, Lab Engineer to execute the field ops successfully.
• To liaise with client under Party Chief’s guidance

• To understand the scope of the field investigation where he is deployed and keep the lab equipment ready appropriate for the assigned scope

• To check the calibration validity of lab equipment, in-situ testing equipment and keep the records onboard the vessel for ready reference
• To carry out onboard laboratory testing as per the Scope of Work and pack the other undisturbed and disturbed soil samples in their respective packing method for storing and transferring the samples to onshore laboratory for further laboratory testing
• To get guidance from Onboard / Base Geotechnical Engineer to understand the processing and interpretation of in-situ test results
• To classify the soil / rock core samples based on visual observations, onboard lab testing, in-situ test results & other recommended methods.
• To collect the photographic evidences of the soil / rock samples and tests.
• To prepare onboard lab report and to assist the geotechnical engineer on preparing the field bore log and in-situ test plotting.
• To prepare the soil / rock sample inventory, lab assignment sheet for issuing to the onshore laboratory
• To store and transfer the soil, rock & water samples in prescribed method and track the soil samples until reaching to the concerned onshore lab in-charge.
• To maintain decorum of the lab and to ensure following safety and health norms prevailing

• To receive soil/rock/water samples from the sites along with inventory and lab assignment sheets
• To verify sample quality, quantity and appropriateness based on the sample inventory.

• Accurately assess, assemble, and gather all equipment required for a project based on the project's scope of work.
• Independently check all equipment and verify system integration with all relevant interfacing software to ensure proper data transmission, reception, and logging.
• Receive equipment at the site and install it on-board the relevant marine spread/craft/vessel.
• Fully integrate the equipment for survey and site operations.
• Assist in the calibration and fine-tuning of equipment as required.
• Perform front-line maintenance and troubleshooting in case of any system malfunctions onsite.
• Pack and list all project equipment safely with assistance from lab staff.
• Hand over the packed equipment to the logistics section for transportation to the site or office.
• Hand over the complete equipment set for standard checks and preventive maintenance routines to the base engineers and lab staff.
• Unpack, test, service, and repair (as needed) the returning electronic survey equipment from the site with assistance from lab staff.

• Assist in analysing and interpreting data, writing reports
• Provide analytical and descriptive inputs to the CAD Executives to generate the requisite drawings
• Draw inferences from the processed data and drawings and draft the report conclusion and recommendations.
• Responsible for archival and retrieval of all raw & processed data besides complete final project reports.

• Responsible for project survey planning and assisting as required in the mobilization process before the start of assigned project

• Responsible for complete data processing of all Geophysical and Oceanographic data collected on the project till translation of processed data into drawings and reports
• Interface with the data processing group on a day to day basis while in office, check, assist and guide them as required while processing their project data

• Designated as a Project Geophysicist
• Support the Party chief for the execution of the project by assisting in quality geophysical and oceanographic data acquisition
• Responsible for the trouble free operations and execution of survey task using the various geophysical sensors and digital data logging systems and software as required by the contract.
• Responsible for routine interaction with client and submission of onboard analysis of geophysical and oceanographic data and reports.

• Responsible for project survey planning and assisting as required in the mobilization process before the start of assigned project
• Assist the party chief in making survey project de-brief to the Sr. Vice President-Operations on completion of Project.
• Responsible for complete Bathymetric data processing of Single-beam Echo sounder /Multi-beam Echo sounder of the project. Also provide final (xyz data) three dimension data to the Data Processing Group.
• Interface with the data processing group on a day to day basis while in office, check and guide them as required

• Support the party chief for the execution of the project by assisting in the accurate positioning and lane keeping of the rigs/ offshore survey vessels respectively, during own watch
• Responsible for the trouble free operations and execution of survey task using the various sensors and survey
• software as required by the contract in coordination with the other members of the team vis-à-vis the system engineers and geophysicists during his watch
• Assist the project leader of the offshore survey team, being responsible to the client/ client representative in so far as the routine interaction and submission of standard onboard reports are concerned
• When appointed as Party Chief shall be responsible for the overall QA/QC of bathymetric, tidal, current and Side Scan Sonar data acquisition

• Directs the movement of offshore vessels and work barges from one location to another within project’s offshore areas
• Commands company owned or chartered self-propelled maintenance/producing vessels/ barges
• Pre-plans vessel/barge moves and attends pre-vessel move meetings to coordinate with responsible personnel
• Assigns boats to towing stations for moving barge, plots course and is responsible for safe navigation of tow and directs maneuvering approach and positioning on new location
• Gives direct commands regarding steering orders, engine speed and use of anchors and directing boats involved via radio/walkie talkie
• Commands marine craft used in work operations, rescue or towing operations of marine equipment
• Makes regular inspections of tugs and barges to ensure compliance with marine safety, security and good housekeeping rules
• Evaluates weather conditions prior to rig move in consultation with weather forecasters and continually updates forecast throughout rig move
• Maintains permanent log of all floating vessels and barges handled
• Ensures the safe passage of vessels and barges through the offshore enroutes, and that all movements of vessels, barges, anchors and legs do not threaten or damage the permanent structures or other moving vessels
